This workshop will start with simple stretch exercises for relaxing the body, pranayama for invigorating vital energies in the body, and pratyahara to withdraw the mind from perceptive world. Conscious practice of these exercises will gradually prepare for a meditative mind.
Meditation is not doing, it is being and experiencing our true nature in its full magnificent.
During this workshop we will learn:

About Mr. Jay Kalathil
Jay Kalathil immigrated from India in 2001. He started practicing yoga and meditation in very young age at a goddess temple in a village in Kerala, India. He is a regular yoga practitioner and a spiritual seeker who pursues the path of knowledge (Jnana Yoga). His Yoga Guru is Mr. Paruchuri Seetharamaiah from esteemed Bihar School of Yoga in India.
In 2003, Jay formed a Yoga Group called MUKTHI at Durga Temple in Fairfax Station, Virginia offering FREE yoga classes on every weekend to the community members, which is still going on. In 2014, he started teaching yoga at ChinmayaSomnath in Chantilly, Virginia. He is an active volunteer of Life in Yoga foundation in Washington DC. Jay works as an IT professional for a living.
