Essential Nature Spring Restorative & Yin Yoga

with hope hurlbrink

Align yourself with the vital energy of spring in a gentle rejuvenating and renewing restorative workshop.

This practice will help to release the heavy darkness of winter so that you may have the opportunity to experience life’s circumstances with a fresh new outlook. During the winter we go inward to recharge so that once spring has sprung we can burst forth with fresh life and vitality. Connect with your essential nature and come out of the cocoon of comfort to explore new boundaries. As nature springs forth its beauty and abundance, we too are called to celebrate the renewal of life.

In this special workshop we will utilize spring’s creative energy to grow, just as nature is all around us. The first 45 minutes will be to discuss the impacts of the spring season on the physical, breath, and emotional bodies as well as practice a breathing technique that may aid in guiding you through the blooming (pollen) season. There will be materials to follow along and also to take home for further reading.

Specific essential oils for the spring season will be diffused as well as passed around for those who want to enhance their practice with calming smell. Following our discussion, Hope will lead you through a practice of yin and restorative poses that open the lines of energy, or meridians, of the gallbladder and liver. These are the organs associated with the spring season in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Come prepared to relax, renew, and find balance in the season of nature’s rebirth!
